How Bank File Tool handles account information, uploaded statements, and conversion results
2026/10/06
Bank File Tool provides bank statement conversion at bankfiletool.com. This policy explains the information processed when you use the service.
When you start a conversion, your selected PDF or image is uploaded to our file storage and made available to our server-side parsing service. Processing may involve external infrastructure and AI providers. Conversion does not take place entirely in your browser.
Statements may contain names, account numbers, balances, and transactions. Only upload files you are authorized to share. Where practical, remove information that is not needed for conversion.
We store conversion records, which can include the file name, file size, file hash, storage reference, processing status, extracted transactions, and error information. A successful conversion can be associated with your account or an anonymous trial request.
Account information can include your name, email address, sign-in provider, and authentication records. Payment providers process checkout and payment details; we keep payment and credit records needed to provide your purchased allowance.
For anonymous trials, we use a browser fingerprint, client IP address, request identifiers, and usage records to enforce trial limits and prevent duplicate processing. Request recovery information may also be stored in your browser.
When configured, Microsoft Clarity helps us understand website interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and session replays. Website delivery and security services also process technical information such as IP addresses, device details, and request logs. See our Cookie Policy.
We use information to convert statements, return results, manage accounts and credits, recover interrupted requests, investigate failures, prevent abuse, and answer support requests. Hosting, storage, parsing, authentication, payment, email, and analytics providers may process information needed for those functions. We may also disclose information when required by law.
Conversion responses include a file-reference expiry time currently set to seven days. This is not a promise that every stored file, extracted result, backup, or operational record is permanently deleted at that time. Account, payment, conversion, and security records may be retained for operating the service, handling disputes, and meeting applicable obligations.
We use access controls and other safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sending unnecessary financial information in support messages.
You may contact us with questions or requests concerning access, correction, or deletion of your information. We may need to verify your identity and retain some records where necessary for applicable obligations or resolving disputes.
We may update this policy as the service changes. The revision date appears above. See also our Terms of Service.
